Our Story

Our Story

Duke's Coffee Roasters started the way a lot of good things do: in a home kitchen, with a pan on the stove and a lot of curiosity. Those first batches were uneven and a little smoky, but they were also the start of something we couldn't put down.

More than ten years later, that curiosity has become a craft. We're still a small business, but our goal is big: to bring the most fragrant, best-tasting coffee to your home. Every bag you buy carries a decade of practice, experiments, and lessons learned one roast at a time. Roasting coffee is a labor of love for us, and we think you can taste that.

How We Choose Our Beans

Great coffee starts long before it reaches the roaster. We look for the best beans of the season, the coffees that are at their peak right now. Coffee is a crop, and like any harvest, it changes throughout the year. That means some of our offerings come and go.

When a coffee we love is gone, we don't settle for a substitute. We wait for the next great harvest and introduce you to something new.

The Roast

Roasted When You Order

We don't roast coffee to sit on a shelf. Your beans are roasted after you place your order, in small batches, so they reach you as fresh as possible.

Small-batch roasting also gives us room to be creative. We can adjust each roast to bring out what makes a particular bean special, whether that's a bright fruity note, a deep chocolate finish, or a sweetness you didn't expect.

The Payoff

What That Means for You

Fresher beans. Fuller aroma. More vibrant flavor in every cup. When perfection is the goal, there's no ceiling, and we're still chasing it with every batch we roast.
